OCM BOCES operates similarly to a typical school district. It is governed by a BOCES Board that is similar to a school district's Board of Education. The CEO is the district superintendent. OCM BOCES employs school administrators to manage its programs, teachers and instructional support staff to provide instruction and non-instructional support staff to provide support educational programs for its 23 component districts.
