What's New at OCM BOCES

For the 2016-2017 school year, there are some exciting new programs and initiatives at OCM BOCES. One of the most significant changes is that OCM BOCES now has a Main Campus, the home for all Syracuse-area adult education programming, at 110 Elwood Davis Road in the Town of Salina. Also housed at the Main Campus location are all of OCM BOCES administrative, instructional support and business services. The move of these programs to a single location has freed up space at additional OCM BOCES locations allowing for more appropriate groupings and enhanced opportunities for other programs.

About the school: Seven Valleys is the second New Tech high school within the OCM BOCES and only the third in New York State. New Tech high schools use new technology and focus on project-based learning. Instead of traditional classes, curriculum is meshed together into interdisciplinary topics.

A Grand Opening Celebration & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be held at Seven Valleys at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 12, 2016.

The first day of school for OCM BOCES students was Wednesday, September 7, 2016. Approximately 90 new full-time teachers have joined an instructional staff of more than 550 full-time and 18 part-time personnel.

A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new playground will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016.
